The popular social media platform "Instagram" is expanding the live broadcast function.
Live streaming will be available on Instagram via desktop and various third-party platforms.
Instagram is testing a new tool that lets you live stream from your desktop using live streaming software like OBS, Streamyard, and Streamlabs.
For the first time, social media platform Meta allows live streaming outside of the app. Thanks to the new integration, it is possible to use external camera, microphone or screen templates in Instagram posts.
To start live streaming on the desktop version of "Instagram", you must first specify which streaming platform you have chosen (for example, OBS or Streamlabs). You will then be asked to give your live stream a title. After selecting your title, you'll see a key and a direct streaming link. By copying both codes to the external software, you will link your Instagram feed to the external software.
