BMW will turn the new "seven" into the world's first electric armored car.
This was stated by Oliver Tsipse, the CEO of Bavarians.
He said that the i7 sedan will be the basis for the new bulletproof car, and the introduction of a battery instead of an engine will not affect its ballistic protection rating.
BMW officials did not release details.
However, experts believe that the electric car will be equipped with VR6 class armor. If so, the armored i7 will be resistant to 15 kilograms of TNT blast and 7.62 caliber bullets.
